Hollenstedt, Germany, Hour#5 of 24skate#4
Unfortunately we again had some rain this year at the 24skate, so we could not reach a higher kilometer score.
In time for our hour, 5 minutes before the start a strong shower poured upon us

and made the street a slide. After a quarter of an hour the street dried again and we could skate the rest on better ground.

Inspite of the bad weather forecast 14 skaters came to our share of the 24skate. That's a good base for the next year, because
everybody who took part this time wants to 24skate again next year - and try to motivate many more skaters.
As you can see on the pictures whe had a relay bar circling around our circuit and counted the laps of the bar.

Before the skate wie measured the lap length several times with a GPS receiver. The result was 495 meter. The participants
skated 349 laps alltogether, the bar reached an average speed of 23,27 km/h. We had a new record of donations.
Comment by Clemens:
I removed the amount of the donation, because of the very different income levels of the different participating countries.
I will only announce the total result of each 24skate. Nevertheless the individual contributions are highly appreciated.
The Hollenstedt 24skaters each donated a lump sum, but also found a sponsor ("Nordheide Geotechnik") who promised a certain amount
per totally skated kilometers.
Hollenstedt will certainly join next year's 24skate, but please no rain that time ;-)
Rolling regards
Kai
