Ocala, Florida, USA: Hours 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 of 24skate #17

Hi Clemens!

Our skate went very well! Despite some overnight rain, the trail was dry and the weather was perfect! 3 of us skated (Jessica, Parker and myself) for about 5 hrs with stops. Our actual skating time was recorded at approximately 4hrs -17min but the elapsed time with our rest stops at various points was 4hrs -45mins. The trail that we skated was about 15.5 miles long so we did the whole trail out and back twice to get our 62 mile virtual A2A. This particular trail is one of our favorites now as it is fairly new, the pavement is smooth and there are only 2 minor road crossings. It also has some gentle rolling hills so for us here in Florida, it makes it much more interesting!

I've included a screenshot from my Garmin data and some photos that we took during our skate. I'm sorry that we were not able to raise any money this year but we're still glad that you are putting in the effort to keep this Global skating event alive! The skating community is definitely smaller than it was 10-years ago but we're still trying to get new people back into skating.

Thanks again for organizing this event and we'll look forward to seeing the complete report for the 17th 24hr World skate! Hope you get to skate more next year!

All the best from Luke and Jessica
